Liminal Space Lyrics and Rococo Theatre bring together three distinct voices from the Midwest for an evening of indie rock, folk, soul, and singer-songwriter music.

The Zooeys return to the Rococo stage with their melodic, restless blend of shoegaze, dream pop, punk, indie pop, classic rock, and garage rock. Led by songwriter and frontman Zooey Rudd, the Lincoln band has built a sound that is difficult to put neatly in a box, expansive enough for a theatre stage while still rooted in the energy of a basement show.

Isiah Driessen brings Americana-rooted songwriting into atmospheric, psychedelic-tinged territory. His resonant voice and textured arrangements move between intimate folk songwriting and something more expansive and unexpected. His 2026 album Birds explores identity, transformation, connection, and finding meaning in change.

Driessen performs primarily as a solo songwriter, but his sets have a tendency to grow. Other musicians have a way of joining in, and what begins as a solo performance can sometimes turn into something else entirely. The New People is the name Isiah gives to that loose, ever-changing group of musicians. There is no fixed lineup or guarantee of who might show up, making spontaneity part of the live experience.

Driessen is also the founder of The Cedars Project, a Fox Cities community arts initiative based in Little Chute, Wisconsin.

Jacklyn Rose, also from Wisconsin, moves between neo-soul, folk, gospel, pop, and the singer-songwriter tradition. Drawing from her background in theater and choral music, Rose brings a warm, soulful presence to the stage, balancing powerful vocals with the intimacy of a songwriter who knows how to make a room listen.

Three distinct approaches to songwriting and performance, brought together on one of Lincoln’s most recognizable stages.

For Liminal Space Lyrics, the show is part of an ongoing effort to connect artists, venues, and audiences through thoughtfully curated live experiences, creating opportunities for artists to reach new audiences while giving each venue and community something specific to its space.
